- Description: As Autumn approaches, it's one of my favourite times of the year to get out in the morning

There was a bit of high pressure over Scotland at the weekend there and not much wind, so I popped up to the Loch Garry area and stayed overnight in the car to catch the mist around sunrise at 6am.
It might sound a bit uncomfortable, but I have totally nailed my night mode car camping set up and the aircon worked well overnight to keep me fresh and comfortable at 18 degrees (it was 7 degrees outside).
As I don't need to have any windows open, there were zero midges inside the car, but there were a few around outside due to the lack of wind.

The mist was already forming at Glencoe on my way up the road around 8pm

There were clear skies overnight, but when I woke up at 5:30, I had a quick peek outside and there was a bit of mist, especially over the water.
A quick blast of the heating and I stuck the kettle on for a fresh brew, another advantage of an electric car with a 240v mains socket.
I waited for the sun to pop up over the mountains around 06:15.

The sun popped up over the mountains to the East around 06:15

Even though the sun was up, the light wasn't really hitting the landscape directly to my West, it was far from perfect light but good to see the misty conditions.

Another B&W shot of the mist above the hills and trees.

A B&W shot of the sun beaming through the tree tops

It was a wonderful way to start the day, but I had to get back home by 11am so reluctantly I headed home as the mist continued to hang around above Loch Garry and the distant mountains.
