Apple Silicon M1 Macbook Pro, is it really that good for video editing ?

There have been lots of videos and posts about Apple's new M1 based Mac Book pro and Macbook Mini for use as video editing.

Well, after some hands on with the new Macbook Pro, I can quite honestly say that it's suprisingly good, albeit the 13 inch screen isn't ideal for editing.

I have tried editing the same 4K 10 bit video footage on both my desktop pc / 8GB graphics card and the new Macbook and the little macbook blows away my desktops video editing performance.

I will upload a video soon with a real life edit test.

Well, what can I say, I am blown away at how good the M1 chip is for video editing, it blows away my desktop pc and my previous high spec laptop (which I have now sold).

The battery life is awesome and the fan only kicks in if you render a large video file or something realyl intensive.

Davinci Resolve loads in half the time.
The Photoshop beta is very quick, but I'll wait for the final version before comitting to it, as the Spot Healing Brush isn't working the same as the normal version

My first hands on with the Sony A7Siii camera
